30 years ago we set about freeing medical data to help healthcare as we witnessed the frustrations and time spent trying and failing to access healthcare information and data resident in organisations. In 1993 DesAcc (Designed Access) was founded to evolve software solutions including creating ,testing and launching our ‘Digital Jacket’ product in 1998.
We have focussed on helping organisations migrate data and transforming their abilities to use unlocked data with a focus on healthcare. Based on the growing demand for services DesAcc opened a European office in 2009.

In the last decade significant achievements have included completing our first Petabyte scale project in 2018 and during the pandemic collecting and curating one of the largest privately held databases of genomics data.
30 years on that burning passion to unlock medical information and data at scale still burns brightly. In doing so we help healthcare organisations and medical professionals improve medical decisions and outcomes through better access to, and use of, quantitative data and the potential to inspire cures of the future. Now with machine learning and AI in medicine, data has further power to accelerate progress in healthcare to levels unimaginable by previous generations.

As demand for our services increases, we opened a North American office based in Toronto in 2022.
